Teacher Evaluation Models in Practice
Project Methodology
The TQ Center designed this repository in order to provide states and districts detailed examples of teacher evaluation reform. To do so, the TQ Center, with support from the U.S. Department of Education, recruited districts to participate in a review conducted by national experts in measurement and instruction. The reviews began with a collection of system documents from websites and other readily available sources conducted by the TQ Center. Then TQ Center staff worked closely with district personnel to assure all necessary documentation for a thorough review was obtained.
The TQ Center designed a Teacher Evaluation Review Template to help guide experts in a review of the districts efforts related to teacher evaluation (a sampling of questions is located under the Guiding Questions link). This template includes a series of prompts that guides a systematic review of the documents. The three reviews were consolidated into one report, shared with the experts and districts for endorsement, and finalized to share with our constituents through this online repository of reviews.
